The following Panel discussion consisted of J. (Joe) Micheal Strynvinski and Peter David talking about writing for television.

{Editors note - Micheal has wrtten freelance for numerous TV shows, and was on staff for "Jake and the Fatman", "Jason and the Wheeled Warriors", "Ghostbusters" (animated), "Captain Power" (animated), and currently writes "Babylon 5". Peter has written episodes for the "Star Trek" TV shows, "Babylon 5", and recently "Space Cases" for Nickelodeon. Peter has been writing the comic book "Incredible Hulk" for the last ten years continuously, and has written numerous other comics simultaneous to his television writing. }

{Editor's note - Peter is short, chubby, bearded and bald on top of his head. Micheal is tall, rangey, bearded, and bald on top of his head. While the facial features are very different, a quick look of both's appearance is striking. As the session starts, Micheal makes fun of this similarity as he goes to the front table]

Micheal...Seperated at birth [points to self] raised by wolves, [points to Peter] raised in a deli. {Micheal went on to highlight TV shows he has written for}

Peter... I was once at a party and I was mistaken for J. Micheal Strynvinski., and I was asked 'How did you come up with Jacar? I wrote Space Cases for Nickelodeon, and the ratings were solid, but not spectacular. We even had arranged for some of the cast members from B5 ready to come in and do some guest shots, and Nickelodeon said "Babylon 5? Nobody watches that." We were ready to do a guest appearance with Wierd Al Yankovich, and Nickelodeon said he has no following. My introduction [to Micheal] was writing two episodes for "Babylon 5".

Micheal... I was a playwrite, I worked for Time [magazine} for a year, and then I was shipped to People magazine. [On day at People} we were sitting in a meeting pitching stories to the editor, and one of the women reporters said she wanted to do a story about a rape hotline in California. And the editor, who was a woman, said "Rape has been very good to us. But, do you have a new angle on this rape thing?'" The reporter admited they didn't. After that meeting. I didn't say a word. I went to my desk, [picked up my belongings] and walked out. [And I didn't go back ]. I have my principles. [from there I worked freelance on] Jason and the Wheeled Warriors, and Captain Power,
