"We started with the original screenplay by Joss Whedon and ended up somewhere that's halfway between that first script, which is wonderful, and halfway to Sunnydale and the Buffy we've now come to know and love and pine for Tuesday night. Once again, Buffy proves to be excellent subject matter for comics."

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Origin, is a new three-issue miniseries from Dark Horse Comics, featuring the writing talents of Dan Brereton (Nocturnals) and Chris Golden (Hellboy: The Lost Army), and the Sarah-Michelle-approved art of Joe Bennett. The full-color, 32-page first issue of The Origin hits comics shops and newsstands everywhere January 13, and can be yours for $2.95.
