I have always said that comics are a business.
This link won't last forever, so I encourage you to check it out soon! Movie News Here's a shot going around the web from shooting of the "Superman Returns" movie. Check out some pictures from the set of "Superman Returns" here http://www.flickr.com/photos/teamaskins/... Most big budget movies debuts are done for the summer. Here's the upcoming schedule of movies that may be of interest to fans of comics and comic strips. A new Crow move called "The Crow: Wicked Prayer" was supposed to be out in July direct to DVD. Anyone seen this one? Another "V is for Vendetta" movie is due out in November. Looks like it will still be a bad time about terror to change government, even if the fictional government may need changing. "Over the Hedge", an animated movie based on the comic strip of the same name was detailed here is previous Suite 101 article. An "Ultimate Avengers" animated video is due out February 2006 from Marvel. Word from Wizard World Chicago is that they will go to the story as close as possible to the first six issues of "Ultimates" comic book, but with some changes to the characters to make them more sympathetic. The story in the six comics has to be greatly expanded to fill the 80 minute animated show - so look for additional background story. Don't look for any big names to be voice actors, word is there are none. Rating will be PG or PG-13. The revised story this that Captain America was frozen in the ocean in 1945 and remained there for sixty years. Revived in 2005, he forms a team including Tony Stark's Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Wasp and Giant Man and leads them against today's evil in the world. Check out http://www.marvel.com for more promotional information. Next summer look for "X-Men 3", "Ghost Rider", and "Punisher 2" from Marvel and Superman Returns from DC. Comic Conventions: Upcoming is the Baltimore comic book con September 16 and 17 at the Baltimore Convention center. Check out the website here http://www.comicon.com/baltimore/ Denny O'Neil will be at a convention? Also slated to appear are Eric Larson, Geoff Johns, Don Rosa, and silver artists John Romita (don't call me) Sr., Dick Ayres, and silver to modern writer Marv Wolfman. Famous Gemstone duck artist and story teller Don Rosa only does one or two conventions a year. So if you want to meet him, this is one of your few chances. His stories of Uncle Scrooge are extremely popular worldwide. Go To Page: 1 2
