Movie updates

Blade Trinity: starring Wesley Snipes in this third (and perhaps final) version of the Marvel vampire hunter character, "Blade" has been in theaters since December 8th. Word is that professional wrestler "Triple H" appears in the movie.

Batman Begins has trailers in the movies this week associated with the Blade Trinity movie. (thanks to Super Hero Hype http://www.superherohype.com/news/batman... )

Jennifer Garner will star as "Electra" in the spin-off from the Daredevil movie. This movie is scheduled to be in theaters Jan 14, 2005. Check out the promo picture.

The "Batman" animated series on Kids WB will have the final four episodes, airing in February, 2005 during sweeps month.

Sam Rami is working on the script for the Spider-Man 3 movie.

In case you have not heard, Brian Singer will be leaving the X-Men movie series to direct a "Superman" movie. No word yet on who will direct X-Men 3.

DVD/Video News

Do you think animated super hero stories are for kids? How about if I told you Warren Ellis is writing an episode of Justice League Unlimited, and would you believe that the only Justice Leaguer that could save the world is The Atom? Get a copy of the Justice League episode that aired December 10th and check it out.

Ever miss those 1960s and early 1970s animated comics shows? Many are back, either new or used.

And, a dozen or so comic related videos are available on Amazon.com. Of particular interest: the 6-volume DVD of the entire 1967 season of the animated Spider-Man television show. They also have The Complete Collected Superman cartoon by Max and Dave Fleischer. Check it out.

Comics News

News is that Marvel's "New Avengers" series has sold out from Diamond Distributors. This is the new "Avengers" comic book series written by Bendis after he disbanded the Avengers in "Avengers Disassembled" story line. Looks like the hot comic of the month.

Long time comics book veterans, writer Mark Waid and artist Barry Kitson, are brining back DC's "Legion of Superheroes". Mark states that at DC's request, this group will have no connection and no continuity to the previous Legion series. Check out more here - http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/n...
