Hit Star Wars series Crimson Empire continues by popular demand

This November hails the return of the surprise Star Wars hit of last year, as the same team that brought Crimson Empire to the attention of Star Wars lovers worldwide reunites to continue the adventure with Crimson Empire II.

In the aftermath of the death of Carnor Jax, the Empire finds itself devoid of real leadership and suffering from the scheming of various Imperials who endeavor to take control of the faltering power structure. The Interim Council attempts to parlay any potential threats to security by managing the affairs of the Empire until a new emperor can take the throne -- but when members of the council begin to fall to assassinations, suspicions prevail and panic sets in as the Empire's already sorry state takes a turn for the worse. Meanwhile, the Republic is dealing with unexpected blows of its own, as even its safest trade routes are being raided with increasing frequency. The galaxy is in turmoil, and Kir Kanos is nowhere to be found! "With the continuing Imperial decay, forces within the Empire are jockeying for power," explained Richardson. "The epic continues, the cast grows, and new information is revealed. Twists, turns, and double-crosses abound -- this is one fun series!"

Star Wars: Crimson Empire II picks off where the popular first series left off, and continues the brutal saga of Kir Kanos and his fight against the evil Empire. Crimson Empire II is written by Mike Richardson and Randy Stradley, and features the dramatic art of Paul Gulacy and Randy Emberlin. Dave Dorman also returns with the rest of the original line-up to bring his vivid and striking paintings to the covers of Crimson Empire II. Issue one of this exciting, full-color series lands in comics shops November 11 and retails for $2.95.
