In Memoriam: Carrie Nodell

It is with great sadness that I report the passing of Carrie Nodell. The beloved wife of Golden Age Green Lantern and Pillsbury Doughboy creator Mart Nodell, Carrie was known to all within the comics and collectibles world as one of the sweetest and most vibrant spirits in the hobby. Carrie was affectionately referred to as "Mrs. Green Lantern" and was her legendary husband's greatest supporter.

Suite 101 and myself offer our deepest condolences and would like to report that Mart Nodell requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the ACTOR fund in Carrie's memory. In addition, cards of sympathy can be addressed to:

I am often on the lookout for unusual or different comics. You can get news about the same old comic from anywhere, but I want to give you a glimpse of some titles that sound interesting that you may have overlooked. Here's one from Night Owl Press :

Max Hamm Concludes The Long Ever After

Volume 2, #3 "The Magic Mirror," is the final chapter in the Long Ever After. We find Max in the clutches of the tooth fairy, who wants to extract the whereabouts of a certain glass slipper. Then there's Snow White who is wanted by the police for the disappearance of Prince Charming.

"Questions abound," said Max Hamm creator Frank Cammuso. "Where is the prince? Where is Snow White? Who is the owner of the glass slipper? Who is the sultry woman being held in the sanatorium? Who is the mysterious Leslie Leroy? Who's the guiltiest of them all?"

Find out in the concluding volume for this particular Max Hamm adventure, and you'll probably end up feeling like we do about the series.

"I'm always amazed at how well the book is received. At conventions, people walk up to the booth, flip through the pages and fall in love at first site," Cammuso said. "It's like a fairy tale."
