Happy Thanksgiving. God bless.

After reviewing comics and doing interviews the last few months, I am a little out of touch with what is going on in the comic book industry.

This is what I do know:

1) CrossGen comic is having financial difficulty. I am disappointed, and I sincerely hope they do well. Brandon Peterson and some other artists are leaving the company. From what I understand most are staying.

2) Wizard World Texas wrapped up last weekend and Mid-Ohio Con is this Friday and Saturday. Incredible multimedia guests here!

3) Marvel comic is making record money after their bankruptcy four year ago. I saw somewhere where the 500th Amazing Spider-Man issue sold about 176,000 copies and Neil Gaiman's 1602 sold in the 170,000 rage. Not impressed. The average comic book sells about 30,000 copies.

Most of the of this article rest, I will give you links to articles on other sites. DO some online reading while you digest that Turkey!

Mid-Ohio Comic Book Convention takes place this Friday and Saturday in Columbus Ohio. Comic book creators featured are Alan Davis (only US appearance), Adam Hughes, Mark Waid (Fantastic Four), Paul Jenkins (Spider-Man), Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man) and many more. Media guests feature Walter Koeing (Star Trek, Babylon 5), David Carridine (Kung Fu), June Lockhart (Lost ins Space, Lassie) Lou Ferrigno (TV show Incredible Hulk) and Yvonne Craig (Batgirl from TV show Batman). Advertisement has is that this will be Yvonne's last year on the convention circuit, so if you want her autograph this is the time. I personally recommend June Lockhart's autograph. I think any of the media stars would be well worth the money.
