As if you didn't know, since I last reported X-Men 2 movie made about $86 million in the first weekend and Free Comic Book day looked to be a big success at the stores I went to. The last I heard was that the X-Men 2 movie is over $100 million in 6 days and looks to pass the success of the first X-men movie.

More news is that the movie pulled $49 million in its second weekend, which brings the total for two weeks close to $150 million. It looks like X-Men 3 is a sure thing with these numbers.

In other film news, Rob Worley of Comics2film at http://www.comics2film.com says that the Punisher movie is on track for shooting in July in Tampa, Florida. The movie will start Thomas Jane (Dreamcatcher) as the Punisher and John Trivolta as the villain. Word is that the film will focus on the emotions of both characters and how they feel about loss, sorrow, Avi Arad said about Thomas Jane "You want someone who cares and therefore you're going to care for him. Thomas Jane, he has soulful eyes."

Rob also repots that the Spider-Man 2 movie is currently being filmed in New York City. As reported here previously, the main opponent will be Doctor Octopus, but from the screen credits the Curt Conners will also appear in the movie. No word yet if he turns into a human-sized lizard like comic book. Check out the picture

Teen Titan TV show is set to debut on Cartoon Network in July. The main titans will be Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy (called Changling in the comic). Rob talked with Sam Register, the Cartoon Network senior vice president of original animation, and Sam indicated that Justice league was a hit with the junior high school aged kids, but the younger kids, aged six to eight, did not catch on to Justice League.

Therefore, Teen Titans will be aimed at an elementary school audience. I think they will try to please fanboys as well, but that will be a secondary objective. Fanboys, you have been told that this will be a kiddies show. You have received fair warning.

My opinion - Raven? Raven? One of the most dark, depressing, diverse characters Marv Wolfman and George Perez ever came up with. Why pick Raven when you can have Wonder Girl? I guess the producers wanted a less attractive female character for kids to relate to. I would pick Wonder Girl over Starfire as well for a female character. That is just my opinion.

I was just wondering if anyone saw the F-4 movie that almost came out a few years ago. I believe it was released on video and then recalled. I know of a few people that had the video but I never saw ...
