The benefits of studying abroad can be enough to change the rest of your life. This is one opportunity that one should take if they want to experience something new and out of their realm.

Think of it this way - this is a time in your life when you are only responsible for yourself with little committment to family and career. When you graduate, you will likely get a job right away and begin your path to true adulthood. This brings on more committment and responsiblity, which will hinder your freedom to travel.

Financially, studying abroad can be somewhat overwhelming. However, there are plenty of resources for students that will help them pay for their trip or with large expenses. There are plently of ways to save you money such as staying with a host family instead of on campus and purchasing unlimited train/bus passes. The internet is a perfect resource.

Choosing a place to study will be your most difficult decision. From Mexico to Spain to Greece to France, almost everywhere in the world offers a program for abraod students. Maybe you will decide to study for 3 weeks in one place and 6 weeks in another. The choice is yours.
