Owning a Dog While You're Still in CollegeWhether you're living in a dorm, an apartment or a house, owning a dog while you're in college isn't really fair to either you or the animal. A puppy, though cute and cuddly, requires the attention much like a baby does. These animals need a lot of attention and maintenance from you and when you're off to class or study sessions on campus, you're likely away for hours at a time. Though a dog can be a pretty resourcesful animal, he will need you to take him out for a walk, clean and fill his water and food bowls, bathe him, groom him and generally clean up after him. Doing these things for yourself hardly seems possible. So when you're considering taking in a new puppy or a dog that needs a home, carefully decide with his and your best interest in mind.
