New Orleans Bowl - Cincinnati (7-6) vs. North Texas (7-5)
Dec. 17, 2002, 7pm ET (ESPN2) - New Orleans, LA
North Texas is bringing a pretty big contingent to New Orleans with them, and they're a team on the rise. Cincinnati, though, almost beat out Ohio State early in the season before they collapsed mid-season like Bob Huggins' pacemaker. The Eagles are going to walk away with this one. Sun Belt: 1-0. Conference USA: 0-1.

GMAC Bowl - Marshall (10-2) vs. Louisville (7-5)
Dec. 18, 2002, 8pm (ESPN2) - Mobile, AL
Two of the country's best quarterbacks square off in this one. Marshall's Byron Leftwich was snubbed by the Heisman voters, and Louisville's Dave Ragone has had a forgettable season. I think Marshall's a fine team, but Louisville knocked off Florida State. I'm going with Marshall in this one, with Leftwich having a much better day in the air. MAC: 1-0. Conference USA: 0-2.

Mazda Tangerine Bowl - Clemson (7-5) vs. Texas Tech (8-5)
Dec. 23, 2002, 5:30pm (ESPN) - Orlando, FL
Texas Tech quarterback Kliff Kingsbury is the greatest nobody in the country, and how Clemson managed to eke out seven victories is beyond me. Red Raiders big in this one. Big 12: 1-0. ACC: 0-1.

Sega Sports Las Vegas Bowl - UCLA (7-5) vs. New Mexico (7-6)
Dec. 25, 2002, 4:30 pm (ESPN) - Las Vegas, NV
New Mexico has a really good program this year, and UCLA has struggled a little bit. But winning seven games in the Pac 10 puts you way ahead of a team that wins seven games in the Mountain West. Something's gnawing at me, though, about this one. I'm going with New Mexico by two field goals. Mt. West: 1-0. Pac 10: 0-1.

ConAgra Foods Hawaii Bowl - Hawaii (10-3) vs. Tulane (7-5)
Dec. 25, 2002, 8pm (ESPN) - Honolulu, HI
Hawaii's coach, June Jones, deserves a real round of applause for what he's done with this team. Tulane, while a very good program, simply doesn't have the offense to keep up with Hawaii. I'm picking the Warriors in this one. WAC: 1-0. Conference USA: 0-3.

Motor City Bowl - Boston College (8-4) vs. Toledo (9-4)
Dec. 26, 2002, 5pm (ESPN) - Pontiac, MI
What in the world? This is Boston College. This is the team that beat Notre Dame, and now they're playing Toledo? In a bowl game? Forget it. Boston College all the way. Big East: 1-0. MAC: 1-1.

Insight Bowl - Pittsburgh (8-4) vs. Oregon State (8-4)
Dec. 26, 2002, 8:30 (ESPN) - Phoenix, AZ
