Irish Eyes Are Bawlin'Leftwich, QB, Marshall: He's the guy we're all supposed to root for, but if Randy Moss, Troy Brown, and Chad Pennington couldn't win Heismans out of Marshall, Leftwich shouldn't, either. The rule is a simple one: play in the MAC, don't win a Heisman. I'll change that next year when I'm touting Kent State's Josh Cribbs. Leftwich's numbers work out a little better than Dorsey's, throwing 223/334 (66.8%) for 2,995 yards, 19 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and a QB Rating of 156.7. 5. Mike Nugent, K, Ohio State: Yes, I have a kicker on my list. I would, right? Nugent has been incredible this season!! He hasn't missed a single field goal in 20 tries, hitting his longest from 51 yards out. His streak includes going 8 for 8 from 40+ yards and putting 96 points on the board for the Buckeyes this year. Irish Outlucked? Bad call after bad call after bad call goes in favor of the Irish. Then, one blown call against them and they're railing for instant replay. You want to get specific? Fine, then you didn't beat Michigan. You're still not in the BCS championship. The idea of adding replay to college football is inane. Are these Irish alums going to fork over the money for smaller schools like the University of Louisiana - Lafayette and Idaho to install instant replay, or will that simply be "one of the costs" of playing Division I ball? Top 25 Who's winning? Who's losing? 1. Miami at Tennessee: Miami by 3 scores. 2. Oklahoma at Texas A&M: The Sooners should win, but they need to be careful and not take the Aggies too lightly here. 3. Ohio State at Purdue: If Ohio State gets caught looking ahead to Michigan, they'll likely get caught next week against Illinois. This week, they should be just fine. 4. Texas vs. Baylor: No question. The Longhorns by 42. 5. Washington State vs. #15 Oregon: Wazzou. Big. 6. Iowa vs. Northwestern: Iowa still isn't done making its point. Look for Banks to come up huge in this one. Hawkeyes by 30. 7. Virginia Tech @ Syracuse: Careful, Hokes! Those Orangemen are going to come in fired up. Va Tech isn't losing two in a row, though. 8. Georgia vs. Ole Miss: I haven't lost faith in the Bulldogs, but I don't like the way they stack up against Eli Manning and the Rebels. This should be close, but I think the Rebs'll do it. 9. USC @ Stanford: Carson Palmer
