TRIPLE ESPRESSO– A Highly Caffeinated Comedy
Triple Espresso has got to be one of the funniest shows to hit the stage of late. Currently, it is playing San Diego at the Horton Grand Theatre and Minneapolis at the Music Box Theatre. Since 1995, this play has been fine tuned by its originators, Bill Arnold, Michael Pearce Donley and Bob Stromberg. Over the years, “Triple Espresso has tickled hundreds of thousands of funny bones in Minneapolis, San Diego, Chicago, Seattle, Sarasota and several regional theaters, and has generated interest in England and Canada as well as throughout the U.S.”, says the Triple Espresso team. The play wraps around the life of lounge lizard Hugh Butternut as he perpetually celebrates his 25th anniversary on the stage at the Triple Espresso Coffee Shop. You’ll be entertained with songs like, “Butternut & The Beast, Apus No. 1 in C Minor” and “Cup o’ Warm”. Hugh’s two old show-biz partners, Buzz Maxwell and Bobby Bean, help him tell the story of their stage lives together. It’s vaudeville comedy at its best. They’ll have you rolling in the aisles as you try in vain to politely sip your Dunn Bros. Coffee. If you’ve already had the pleasure of joining the audience at Triple Espresso, share your review in the discussions to this article. It's an experience worth sharing!
