SARAH BRIGHTMAN " A STARSHIP TROOPER "

" Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world " ... Oscar Wilde

SKY ROCKET'S IN SIGHT and Sarah Brightman is destined to land on your planet of musical dreams.

Brightman utilizes the gossamer of fairy wings to create elaborate backdrops, dramatic sets and stellular lighting systems. Hauntingly indulgent vapours of smoke creep across the stage into the nulla zone of your mind. SUDDENLY, your caught within her vocal web of creativity.

Sarah Brightman was born in England on August 14,1961. She made her first theatrical debut at the Piccadilly Theatre, London at the age of fourteen.

In 1978 she toured with the group ' Hot Gossip ' when her single " I Lost My Heart to A Starship Trooper ", made the top 10 in the UK. It seems, she was positively destined to live with her head in the clouds.

Her successful single won the " Midas " role in Andrew Lloyd Webbers' musical "CATS ". Two years later, they were married. Six years later, they were divorced, probably due to her touring schedule with the show.

Ms. Brightman's starcrossed relationship with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, advantageously groomed and promoted her persona throughout the who's who in London and the World.

This twentieth century enchantress became known as one of the premiere leading ladies of the musical stage quite by accident.

Ms. Brightman claims, that she only went into theatre because, " she needed alittle money " .

Webber/Brightman collaborations have included the lead in " Phantom of the Opera ", which she originated ... along with the, " Aspects of Love " and " Cats ".

Although separated, Webber continues to indulge Ms. Brightman in his , " The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber " Concerts , television's, " Song and Dance " and accompanying recording contracts .

When Webber wrote his highly successful, " Requiem " he dedicated his " Pie Jesu " to the ethereal vocal talents of his ex-wife .

The result was an celestial spiral into the top 5 ratings across the UK and the United States.

In '92 she returned to the UK Charts singing the Olympic Anthem , a duet with Opera Star, Jose Carreras, " Amigos Para Siempre ", ( Friends For Life ), also written by Webber.

"Time To Say Good-Bye ", with Italian Tenor, Andrea Bocelli electrified the European Charts. Infact the song is reported to have gone platinum 5 times, selling 3 million copies worldwide.
