POSTURE KNOWLEDGE

PLEASE do practise relaxation before you attend ANY lesson or performance. It is acoustically imperative that you warm-up muscles to release stress in the the upper neck and vocal chords area.

Even standing straight and stretching UP...UP..UP to the outerlimits of your height can be an enlightening body experience. REMEMBER your body dictates the richness and quality of the vocal sound.

Start launching your vocal journey NOW by becoming more aware of SELF ... Study the Alexander Technique.... COME ON... try ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening. Get yourself into a working routine.

Use a full length mirror, to realize the complete pictue of your SINGING IMAGE. I know ... Sometimes, it's very hard to look at yourself, objectively. Just ... Try alittle self analysis and you will notice the " Good, the bad and the ugly " syndrome. It can all be harmoniously blended to positively built your vocal persona.

OBSERVE.... Is your back curved? Is your neck protruding forward? Is your backbone bent? The answer to all of these questions, should be NO.

Be critical of yourself, but also practise a kind and honest approach to vocal health and self discipline. PLEASE... Let me know how you are doing.

Good posture will make profound differences in your artistic presence and inner peace. NOW, take a big breath, walk onto that stage and let your light shine through the applause.... GOOD LUCK.

" THERE IS NOTHING MORE NOTABLE IN SOCRATES THAN THAT HE FOUND THE TIME, WHEN HE WAS AN OLD MAN, TO LEARN MUSIC AND DANCING... AND THOUGHT IT WAS TIME WELL SPENT." ....( MONTAIGNE )
