Classic Authors: Laura Ingalls Wilder

Laura Ingalls Wilder died in February of 1957 in Mansfield of a stroke. In 1954, the American Library Association established the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award, which is given every five years to a recipient who has made a significant contribution to children's literature.
