Greetings readers of Suite101.com's Christian rock. This is my last article, if it even gets published. I began with Suite101.com in the late 1990s --1998, I think. I first wrote a Medieval England and Vikings topic while I was working on my masters degree in history. In 2000, I got a job with my local public library on the Bookmobile. I wrote the Bibliophile topic for a while, until the Holy Spirit nagged me into writing this topic.
My music ministry isn't over, by any means. I'm organizing the birth of a Christian coffeehouse in Warrensburg, Missouri, and will still be a strong advocate for Christian music in the local area. I'll even keep my geocities.com website updated by adding new musicians as they make themselves known to me. To begin this new phase of the music ministry, I've subscribed to Christian Happenings magazine in bulk, so I can pass copies to any eager reader. I'm introducing people to music through sampler CDs and concert invitations, and just a willingness to talk music. I even followed a guy into a rest-stop today because he had a guitar in his car and I said to God, "OK, if he turns into the rest-stop, I'll talk to him." I gave a short prayer for the guy since it looked like he was dozing off, and that rest-stop was the result. And, as if I needed to mention it, I'm still buying quite a few music CDs and concert DVDs. At this time, I've got a Plumb CD on backorder, and two Gretchen albums on order. New rules I've got to follow would be to have at least ten keywords, and at least half the keywords have to appear in the first paragraph. I could adapt to that. This is the third article I'm doing that for. As it is, I've committed to writing monthly articles, but I've been trying to give you two a month. The new Suite wants weekly articles from their writers, and even demands minimum hit-status for them. I can't predict how many of you will drop by to read what I've got to say. After I hit save on this, I'll drop by to see the new contract. If it's doable for me, you won't see this article. If I still don't think I can do it, try to keep in touch. I'll still share my findings with you. Go To Page: 1 2
