My Testimony

Jesus even gave a mini-sermon on Christian rock when the Pharisees accused Him of being satanic when He cast the demon from the deaf and dumb man. He said, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand, and if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then will his kingdom stand?" (Matt. 12:22-26 RSV)

Christian rock and pop music have served well in casting Satan out of my life. That's my testimony, and no rock-basher can say it's false --because it's mine.

A final note: I've said this before. God can use even non-Christian artists to further His message. The Rolling Stones "can't get no satisfaction." Beyond their whining is the question, "Why?" Ozzy Osbourne gets sooo close to God's Truth in "Crazy Train," but stops short of embracing it. The girl singing in Jeff Beck's "Rollin' and Tumblin'" sings a story of human weakness and then blames whiskey and bad luck for her not receiving Christ. The Beatles sing "All you need is love" but miss the true source of all love. Rock music is a "tongue" that some people shouldn't listen to without an interpreter. But again, God can and does speak through it.
