Political Correctness is Incorrect

Consenting adults; step kids; Mom's boyfriend; my first wife; I can't help it, that's just the way I am; like father like son; she's just a product of her environment; step parents; his kids/her kids; abortion; what's right for you might not be right for me; I never met my dad; grandparents as parents; it's OK, it didn't hurt anyone; self-esteem and feel-good philosophy --for the most part, are all products of a society which puts humanity and self before God, or has forgotten God completely. Political correctness says you can't tell anyone they might be wrong, because it might hurt their feelings.

When did Jesus say, "I am a way and a truth and a life. Some people come to the Father through Me"? Did Jesus tell the Pharisees, "What's right for you might not be right for Me"? Did He call them a "brood of angels"? Did Jesus tell the woman caught in adultery, "Go and be nice to others"?

Too many people are trying to twist Christianity into something other than what the Bible says. The Jesus Seminar and folks like Shelby Spong try to make Jesus into a mere humanist prophet and one of many ways to heaven. Many Methodists and Episcopalians are accepting homosexuality as just an alternative lifestyle. There are even many who claim the name "Christian" who say murder for the sake of convenience is acceptable. That's really what abortion is. Liberal Christian denominations look down on those denominations they consider to be fundamentalists as fanatics. Fundamentalism means "by the Book", in other words, according to the Bible. Where Christianity's concerned, what can possibly be wrong with that? The Bible IS God's Word! Yeah, Christianity, according to the Bible, seems to get in the way of unrestrained fleshly pleasure. Jesus was far from politically correct, but, He never said He was a politician.

This article is really musical, ain't it? Here goes: ApologetiX sang, "Don't tear apart the sacred Word of God. You just gotta take it as it stands. 'Cuz if it's all a farce, with fakey shakey parts, you might as well dump it in the can." ("Fakey Shaky Parts" on Jesus Christ Morningstar) Scarecrow and Tinmen sang, "Jesus is God, so don't you take Him lightly now. Jesus is God, no, we never did say that He might be God." ("Jesus is God" on Superhero)

Steve Taylor sang quite a bit on how Christianity is getting watered down: "learn enough to stay afloat, but not so much you rock the boat" ("I Want to Be a Clone" on Now the Truth Be Told and I Want to Be a Clone) and "...my conscience was clear and my wallet was full. ...I didn't hear none of this "sacrifice" bull... Tickle my ear and I'll pay for your show. Sing about stuff I already know. Whisper sweet nothings. Pour a nightcap. Gimme that old time easy listening..." ("Easy Listening" on Squint).
