Three New Bands for February

As we passed the building outside, we could hear the windows rattle with the beat. Yeah, it was way too loud. We got to our cars, and the parking lot guy came out to talk with us again, as he did before the concert. Friendly is certainly a good description for him. Our ears recuperated on the way to my son's apartment, and we slipped the CD onto his player. First, however, he put another CD in and played parts of it, then went into the Abbington CD. After a bit, he asked, "Could you tell when the bands changed?" I had to admit I couldn't, then my son said, "See, I told you they sounded just like Dashboard Confessional." Since, as I said regarding Abbington, I'm not very up on the emo and emo-like sounds, I asked Nick, my son, for his opinion.

Nick said, while listening, and giving thoughtful looks, "OK, they sound a little... like... No, I guess not really. OH, OH, They sound like... no, not really them either." I told him Amined describes their sound as "unique" and he said after a puzzling shrug, "Yeah, I guess that could describe it." I thought Abbington and Amined sounded somewhat similar, but not really enough to call them comparable.

I describe the musical style as alternative, with
