Kim Burrell


Kim Burrell is a native of Houston, Texas who has captured gospel audiences with her spine-chilling vocals. She is the daughter of an evangelist/singer mother, and pastor/musician father and started her musical career with the Greater Emanuel Church Of God In Christ Choir of Houston, Texas. Her first release on Tommy Boy, "Everlasting Life" was speechless and garnished rave reviews and immediate attention. She has shared the stage with artists such as James Moore, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Hezekiah Walker, Ricky Dillard and Marvin Winans. Kim Burrell is an anointed and unique singer whose message captures the ears and hearts of fans everywhere. She has won the respect and admiration of music lovers everywhere.

Kim Burrell has done it again with her latest release "Live In Concert" CD and video in Memphis, TN at Bountiful Blessing COGIC. The concert was a great success and well worth the wait. Her awesome music, full eight-piece band, and five background singers add more anointing and quality to this outstanding album. "Live In Concert" features Kim at her best as she dazzles the audience with her new material and distinctive touches on each song. The CD/video also features re-mixed versions of Burrell favorites from previous releases. The album will captivate and bring all audiences to their knees.

Tracks including the six-minute funky version of "I'll Keep Holdin' On" is an outstanding song which gives you an adrenaline rush and keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the driving rhythm and beat of "Anything" help to spotlight her amazing musical range. Kim's praise and her dynamic storytelling are brought to life through the song of "Since Jesus" which showcases Kim's talent and ability to turn each performance into an experience. Additionally, the reprise for Everylasting Life is Burrell's ten-minute "Holy Ghost".
