Shout Hallelujah

Bishop Clarence E. McClendon was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois and was chosen at the age of 15 to preach the word of God. His father was a mentor, and a man of God who had a great impact and influence on his life. As a result, he was privileged and favored of God to be raised in the church from an early age. He received his first pastorate at age nineteen and In 1994, Bishop McClendon received his Doctorate of Divinity from the Baptist Christian University International of Orlando, Florida. Today, Bishop McClendon serves as the Senior Pastor of a 12,000 member Church of the Harvest which is a rapidly growing multi-ethnic congregation located in Hollywood. Additionally, Bishop McClendon hosts an annual international conference that draws tens of thousands of people to Los Angeles each summer, and is the founder and president of Harvest Fire Crusades & Media, Inc., which is a ministry that encompasses weekly national and international television and radio broadcasts throughout North America, Europe, Africa and South America.

A central focus for Bishop McClendon's work throughout North America as well as internationally revolves around the unique challenges and needs of today's youth. His work revolves around the unique challenges and needs faced by today's generation. As an incorporation of his ministry values, Bishop McClendon serves on the Bishop's Council of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship as the Bishop of Fellowship Relations. His purpose is reaching people who are desperate for a fresh anointing, living water, and who are hungry for the prophetic and interpretive voice, which speaks to their present needs. "They can be hopeful for their future and as the Church we have the answer for them in the person of Jesus Christ."

Bishop McClendon's debut CD, "Shout Hallelujah", is an awesome praise and worship experience due to the powerful anointing that transcends in each selection. It was recorded live during the '99 Annual Harvest Fire Conference in LA's Grand Olympic Auditorium with the Harvest Fire Mega Mass Choir and 60,000 plus worshippers. It is a must for anyone who loves christian music, and possesses a youthful tone and energy. The CD is a collection of 14 Spirit-filled urban-flavored Praise and Worship tracks and immediately brings you into the presence of God with its wonderful anointed gospel flavor. The title cut "I Call You Faithful" is a rousing and intense moving chorus led wonderfully by Kayla Parker. Additionally, one of the tracks features several excerpts of Van Halen's famous "Jump" theme encompassing a faster rhythm and groove. "All Hail The Power", delivers a soothing and energized song led by Roberta Lansing and William Murphy.
