Bobby Jones has revolutionized the gospel music industry with his latest 13-track recording from gospel music's legendary "Just Churchin'". It is a deep soulful Gospel album sung with with an exceptionally strong voice which brings together some of the greatest gospel performers, including Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Vicki Winans, and James Moore. The first single released from "Just Churchin'" is "I Love You Jesus". "This is my best work," says Jones. "It has all the right elements to bring gospel music to a broad audience." The many outstanding Christian songs include an outstanding hip-hop rendition of "What a Friend"; a traditional gospel song "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" featuring Maya Angelou's commentary on the state of Black America; and an interpretation of "Steal Away" that's nothing less than classic. "I wanted to make traditional hymns and update them," says Jones. Vicki Winans teams up with Jones in a stirring rendition of "He Knows/Something Got A Hold". Dr. Bobby Jones has been with Black Entertainment Television programs since the company started in 1980. He is the host and executive producer of Bobby Jones Gospel, and producer of Video Gospel. Bobby Jones Gospel is a savvy flavored shows, and popular worldwide with its viewers. Jones along with the New Life Singing Aggregation performs contemporary gospel music and welcomes an array of gospel artists such as Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, The Winans, Kirk Franklin, John P. Kee, Hezekiah Walker and more. Bobby Jones, who has been labeled as 'The Goodwill Ambassador of Gospel Music', considers it his mission to promote God's work and help better humanity. One of his upcoming projects is the "Humanity Relief Tour", which Jones hopes will raise money to help those struck by natural catastrophes. "The Lord has given me a platform," notes Jones. "And I want to make the most of it." Jones has received an array of awards including The Gabriel Award In 1980, and an International Film Festival Award for writing and performing "Make A Joyful Noise." Additionally, he was nominated for a Grammy Award in 1982 for "Best Performance by a Black Contemporary Gospel Group" for the album "Soul Set Free." In 1984, he received the Gospel Music Association's (GMA) Dove Award for Black Contemporary Album of the Year, and a Grammy Award for "Best Vocal Duo for a Soul/Gospel Performance" for the single, "I'm So Glad I'm Standing Here Today" performed with country music star Barbara Mandrell, and an NAACP Image Award. In 1990 he received the GMA's Commonwealth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Gospel Music. In 1994, Jones was nominated for the CableACE Award.
