Alvin SlaughterAlvin Slaughter grew up in Brooklyn and began singing in the in the Brooklyn Tabernacle church choir. He sang a solo titled "I'm Clean," a song telling his testimony. From there, he went on to become the renowned choir's lead male vocalist. Alvin Slaughter is a talented artist whose music is always uplifting. His dedication and passion for the Lord shines in his eyes as he sings with his whole heart to him, and blesses others at the same time. He has a genuine passion to love, obey, and glorify the Lord, and hopes others will want to do the same. He is a music minister and worship leader who performs songs that teaches the Gospel and leads us into God's presence through praise and worship. In May, 1991, Slaughter began singing at major Christian conferences and evangelistic crusades. He is a regular on the Trinity Broadcasting Network and travels worldwide singing, testifying, and exhorting Christians to live fervently for God. "I was told many years ago by a very wise pastor that the most effective worship leaders are those who love to worship," says Slaughter. "Worship is contagious and I'm not ashamed to dance, shout, or sing before the Lord exuberantly. Slaughter's latest release, Yes!, (Hosanna! Music) was recorded live in Nashville, Tennessee, at Newsong Christian Fellowship. The album is true to Slaughter's Brooklyn Tabernacle roots with strong Gospel influences and old-fashioned camp meeting worship. Yes is an outstanding album that combines melodies and harmonies to get your hands clapping and feet stomping while praising and worshipping the lord. The songs ignite the souls of man and make requests to the Lord for our particular needs or interceding for the needs of others.
