Glory in the House

Keith Staten is a native of Detroit, Michigan who grew up singing in church. His father was Pastor of a church in Detroit and his mom a singer where he acquired both his vocal talent and unique ministry. He is one of God's true worshipers whose purpose is to give God glory and praise through his music. Keith became known while performing as one of the lead singers of the group Commissioned, and has since encouraged believers with his uplifting and encouraging songs since 1982. Keith recorded six albums while with the group Commissioned between 1982 and 1990 before deciding to perform on his own.

Shortly after leaving the group Commissioned, Keith recorded his first solo album titled, From The Heart. Then, in 1994, Keith recorded No Greater Love with Integrity Music. This album garnered two Dove Award nominations in 1996 - one for Urban Album of the Year, and one for Urban Recorded Song of the Year for the single "Addicted." Since then, Keith has continued recording with Integrity, serving as worship leader on two of Integrity's urban praise and worship albums. The first album by Keith is titled Worship In The House recorded live at Lifeline Christian Center in Detroit, Michigan. "Worship In The House is an exuberant live experience blending contemporary urban sounds with heart stirring and intimate worship." The Album reflects psalmist Keith Staten's call to minister through praise and worship.

Keith Staten's most recent album from Integrity is titled Glory in the House which features some of praise and worship's best loved songs in the fresh urban style. Fred Hammond is producer of the project and certainly takes praise and worship to a new dimension. From the high praise, and convicting vocals of "More of Your Glory" and "Ancient Of Days," to the intimate moments of worship in "I Offer My Life" and "I Stand In Awe Of You," this recording shows the difference God's presence can make. Its purpose is to ignite a desire for His glory in you life which is marvelously displayed in his rendition "Stand Up and Give Him the Praise". Hammond's strong contributions are felt in this song as he plays live bass and lends Radical for Christ members to Staten for the project. Several of the standout cuts include: "Jesus We Enthrone You", and "God is the Strength of My Heart".

Keith defines his mission like this: "My ministry is to give songs that uplift the Church. While some artists are called to reach the lost, Keith understands that his calling is to encourage believers with songs that uplift the Church." Indeed Keith has fulfilled his purpose by being obedient to that word for flocks of Christians attend his concerts and see God in all His glory and see His people being blessed .
