ApologetiX at Shout 2001

Their latest CD entitled Spoofernatural (the newest addition to my CD library) is totally awesome and is a must have for your collection! This CD has 19 Christian parodies of Rock hits  including: "I Want it That Way" by The Backstreet Boys, "Livin LaVida Loca" by Ricky Martin, "Play that Funky Music" by Wild Cherry, "Cowboy" by Kidrock, "California Girls" by the Beach Boys, "Rock This Town" by the Stray Cats, and "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. The CD is something you can listen to all the time and use as an effective witnessing tool for unsaved loved ones, co-workers, and friends. If they ever come to your city you have got to catch these guys! Their concert is a life changing event, and you won't believe the reactions from everyone! Some people laughed and laughed and couldn't believe what they were hearing!  Others knew the songs and loved the new life giving lyrics. Everybody was wearing a smile and the joy of the Lord was abundant!

After the concert I was able to catch up with the band and I had an interview with J. Jackson that you can listen to if you have real player. I'll try to post the interview in text format in the near future, but I always enjoy listening to an interview more than reading it myself. J is a real cool guy who has a heart for the lost and utilizes his God given talents to minister in music to those who have an ear to hear. He is also somewhat of a Biblical Scholar because all of the songs he writes come straight out of the Bible, and it takes hours of Bible study and prayer to get the lyrics to these songs. J hopes that their music will encourage others to read the Word so that they can memorize scripture and some of the Bible stories. Note that in the interview you will hear Gospel Ganstaz playing in the background, and at the end of the interview I spontanously ask Karl where can people buy the CD. This was perfect timing because J & I were just wrapping it up and Karl was walking up our way. Listen to the interview by clicking here! The interview is formatted for streaming to 28k modems or higher so all users should be able to listen
