Bleach is a most excellent garage pop band, and their debut album Space, which came out in 1996, is still one my favorites. I’m hoping that they will have a new album out this year! It’s about time for their second album! They chose the name Bleach from the idea of taking something soiled and making it clean again. We kind of consider ourselves very rough around the edges, says Brad Ford. When God gets a hold of you, He forgives you of your sin, just like being bleached.
They are not just another band playing music for the heck of it. They’ve got the beat, and the beat they’re playing has lyrics with a message for today’s youth and those with an ear to hear what the Lord is saying through their music. All of the members met while taking courses at Kentucky Christian College, the same school that Audio Adrenaline members attended and call their alma mater! On Space the opening number eleven has some killer bass and distorted guitar riffs that will make you stand and take notice of this band. One of the messages I get from eleven is found in Proverbs 31:30: beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, shall be praised. This also can apply to men in my opinion, we tend to be macho when we should be portraying Christ. A few lines from eleven sums it up pretty good…. perfect family is a cool little ditty about Jerry and Sally, two kids they had, and a dog named Spot. They went through a lot, the song goes on to say, but they remember their promise to God and their marriage is still together now. Many years later, Jerry is older now and losing hair and teeth but Sally really doesn’t care. A family that can stay together for long period seems uncommon these days. Whatever happened to all of the so called perfect families? epidermis girl has the message that love is more than just skin deep. You could relate Proverbs 31:30 to this tune too! Go To Page: 1 2
