Following their arrival at the reception, the bride and groom received guests before "hosting" the first dance. Grant and Gill danced to Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me." The second dance had Gill paired with his daughter Jenny and Grant with her father Dr. Burton Grant. The wedding cake was a multi-tiered Almond Amaretto cake with white chocolate grapes. The groom's cake was Decadent Chocolate with a cascade of strawberries.
Catering was provided by Beach Walk Cafe of Destin, Florida. Flowers were by Mamie Mason and cakes by Dessert Designs. The wedding coordinator was Deanna Hemby.
Grant and Gill are currently on their honeymoon.
March 3, 2000Vince and Amy getting married Vince Gill and Amy Grant are getting married. Gill spokeswoman Erin Morris confirmed today that the two singing stars plan to tie the knot.
The wedding date is reportedly March 10th. Morris would not confirm or deny that. She says Grant and Gill want to protect their privacy.
Grant's divorce from Christian singer and television personality Gary Chapman was finalized in June. Gill was divorced from singer Janis Gill in 1997.
Grant has said her relationship with Gill played no part in the breakup of her marriage.

Country superstar Gill and gospel queen Grant fell in love during countless rounds of golf at the Brentwood, Tenn., country club - even though both were married. Now both are divorced, and pals say a wedding date is near.
Judging by the way the pair cooed and cuddled during a pro-am golf tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz., over Super Bowl weekend, they are already making plans to walk down the aisle.
"It’s a fair bet to think Vince may ask Amy to be his bride come Valentine’s Day," says a friend. "They’re crazy about each other and they don’t care who knows it. What was once their secret romance is now as public as it can be."
Vince, one of the busiest performers in country music, has decided not to play any concerts this year so he can concentrate on his new life with Amy.
"Despite all the heat they’ve taken over their romance, it was worth it to them because they really love each other," the friend says.
