Christian music comes in many flavors these days, but the base ingredient still and always should be
Jesus Christ.
First off, let me tell you . . . . If you think there isn't a chance of you finding your certain music style in a Christian format, you will be impressed to know and perhaps even surprised to find that there is much more out here. And in more styles, than you can shake a stick at! OK. Now that you believe that there is more to Christian Music then just the old style, let's find out who sounds like a mainstream band or artist that you would like to see in the Christian venue. I recommend ya find the music style of the artists or the name of the artist/band you enjoyed in the mainstream at one of the NewSong On-line Comparison charts. The Home Page is here. You can find virtually ANY style of music including Christian Comedians! If your particular exact style or artist/band isn't listed, go to what would match it the best in the comparisons. Styles and artists are always changing . . . . DC Talk is a good example of this. When they first came out, they were Hip-Hop. Now they are more Pop-Rock style with a little bit of Rap seasoning here and there. Here's a list of some of the styles to browse through in the way of (CCM) contemporary Christian music. *Note: Once you are on one of these pages you may find some sub-categories and spin-offs of the main styles also. Alternative & Punk, Country & Comedy, Dance, Techno & Rave, Hard Rock, Metal & Thrash, Pop & Contemporary, Rock, Rap & Reggae. Copy down the name(s) of the Christian Artist(s) that are compared to the mainstream artist you liked or if the mainstream artist isn't listed, look for the particular style and take note of the CCM Artists. There are links on the Comparison Pages that will take you to the artist's Web page. Some of the artist's sites will offer sound clips, album reviews, and a lot of other info that may prove real helpful in choosing what you would like to purchase n the future in the way of Christian music. With all yer Christian artists names in hand or on hard drive . . . You can now go to hear sound files by searching the NewSong Online/Music Blvd Religious Music Page. There are easy to follow directions there, Go To Page: 1 2
