After nearly a year in recording studios from Iowa to Mississippi, as well as back home in Tennessee, Jars of Clay is ready for the world to hear their latest project, If I Left the Zoo. The first radio single, "Unforgetful You", can be heard on the radio or you can hear some of it NOW at IfILefttheZoo.com . The much-anticipated third CD from Jars of Clay, If I Left the Zoo, doesn't release until November 9. If you can't wait until November 9 to hear the whole record you will be glad to know that Musicforce.com is sponsoring the If I Left the Zoo world premiere event on November 1! The buzz has already begun. "Unforgetful You" (the first single) is featured on the movie soundtrack for Drive Me Crazy, in theaters in October. Jars join the ranks of Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and Steps, who also contribute to the soundtrack. The soundtrack also features title track "Drive Me Crazy", by Britney Spears, a remix of "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, and "One For Sorrow" by Steps, among others. During their time in the studio, the Jars guys kept themselves extra busy, documenting their progress with a video camera. We've heard the stuff they've filmed described as very raw, unproduced, and "totally Jars". Word has it they are planning to debut segments from the footage at their official website, www.jarsofclay.com Check back here for any updates we can get our hands on, and of course keep an eye on the Dirt at the official Jars site. Jars of Clay front man Dan Haseltine granted the Music Channel at Crosswalk.com an exclusive interview to discuss his heart for members of the persecuted church around the world. This is good stuff and this is the first time Dan has spoken about it publicly. Check it out at Crosswalk.com
On the season premier of popular FOX television series, Party of Five, you could hear the title track of The Waiting's current CD... Unfazed. "Unfazed" is the Atlanta, Georgia-based band's fifth--and longest-running--#1 single on the CHR chart. And while The Waiting can be thankful for additional success with "So Much of Me", their current radio single, they're already back at the drawing board, writing songs for the next album due out late spring/early summer.
