What hasn't dc Talk's Kevin Max (the supergroup's essence-of-Bono troubadour) been doing lately?
The man formerly known as Kevin Smith is preparing to launch the Kmax! Church Tour '99, featuring poetry reading, an acoustic music set, and personal testimony. Also, be on the lookout for an upcoming debut solo album (maybe in 2000?) and an acting role in the upcoming indie film, The Trilogy.
Some more Kmax news...though this isn't what Kevin would think as "good news" is that according to Sound and Spirit's Funny awards page Kevin Smith has been nominated for Worst Hairdo on a Artist! I didn't think his hair looked that bad really. Reminds me of the Old Rod Stewart look. I guess they had to pick somebody!
dc Talk is also curently working in the studio on a new long form video in VHS, and DVD formats. The new video, due November 2, 1999, will include in-depth interviews with the guys on their personal lives, as well as the short-form videos from Supernatural, concert footage, and insight into the making of the Supernatural album. The video comes after the end of the Supernatural Experience Concert Tour, that traveled accross the US and Canada, earlier, in the Spring. Be on the look out for the newest dc Talk work, a VHS/DVD project entitled "The Supernatural Experience Video".
