Christmas Love 2000

Operation Christmas Love (OCL) 2000 is now underway in Eastern Europe where the winters are extremely harsh. High inflation and high unemployment means severe poverty and incredible need. OCL is Mission Without Borders' way of not only bringing much-needed relief via food parcels, but also of sharing the joy of Christmas with the world's most needy.

This year, Mission Without Borders will deliver over 21,000 parcels filled with food, Christian literature and a small Christmas gift for the children. The target for these parcels are poor families, the frail elderly, refugees of war, and even single people in need in Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania and the Ukraine.

In the spirit of Christmas, the OCL parcel has a special treat for the children. Toys are a luxury most Eastern European families simply cannot afford. So in each OCL parcel there's a small toy for each child. The vision of a child opening the parcel and discovering their very own Christmas gift is a Christmas present for those who helped get these parcels to these families with small children.

Through Rain, Snow and Sleet, MWB Assures All OCL Parcels Are Delivered. From the countryside to the cities, from refugee camps to mud houses and makeshift shanties, through sleet, snow, hail, and rain -- MWB will deliver over 21,000 OCL parcels this Christmas season. MWB will make sure each OCL parcel is personally delivered, regardless of road conditions or mechanical failures -- even to towns where the roads have all but disappeared due to snow and to towns where there are no roads.
