There is a great need to show Christian compassion and offer ministries to all of the people MWB supports. Through visits to the families enrolled in our FTF Project, the MWB Field Staff noticed that there was a need for all those families to feel loved, be shown compassion and receive hope. The goal was to provide not only economic support but spiritual as well, and fill their empty souls with the Good News.
There were many children who showed a great interest in learning of God's love and, because of this the MWB Field Staff decided to organize a Children's Program. By initiating the Christian Outreach Program, they took the first steps in working with children. There are approximately fifteen-to-twenty children who regularly take part in the Christian Programs; and they are divided into two groups according to the area in which they live. The majority of these children come from Muslim families, whose parents are not practicing their Islamic faith. Moreover, these parents see positive changes occurring in their children's lives as a result of the impact of this Project. The Field Staff often organize Bible studies with these children; and the questions they raise, the songs they sing, and the Bible verses they recite really impresses the Staff. The children know where the Bible originated; why all people need the Bible; and that God is willing to listen to anyone who speaks to Him. Eralda Shahu stated during one of these Bible studies: "In our house, every moment, we pray to our Almighty because we know He is the source of every blessing we enjoy." Eralda then recited a verse from ACTS 14:17: "'He has shown kindness by giving you rain from Heaven and crops in their seasons; He provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.' "We never forget to thank God for even small things like: Thanks God that (it did not rain) today and we can play outside. Thanks God that my father was not drunk today and please don't let him drink anymore. Thank you God for the beach and the sea - and for many other things." Ergys Cejku said: "For three days we lacked running water because something was wrong with the main water supply. I was obliged to fetch water from a well which was far from our house and I got deadly tired. I started praying to Him because I knew God listens to the prayers of all those who sincerely call (on) Him. And (the water supply) was repaired. I told my mother that it was (repaired) because of me, because I prayed and prayed. Go To Page: 1 2
