New Years Resolutions

It was good to be able to drive home and see family over the holidays. My nieces are growing up so quickly- talking and walking and it seems they were babies only a few days ago. It was a good Christmas season and I was able to witness so many of God's blessings on our family- physical, spiritual and material blessings. I didn't have any New Year's Resolutions this year but here are a few goals that I want to pursue... maybe you could e mail me your goals and keep me on track with mine. First, I want to know Jesus better. Last semester was my final year of college. College can be a highly pressured environment. Then again so is life. But I kept telling myself that I would spend more time in God's Word- when I graduated, when I was working full time... when this paper was finished. Well, you get the picture. I admit it. Any available excuse was used and last year I didn't accomplish much in the way of Bible reading. Also, I had a million excuses about why I wasn't giving more. Well, God, as you know I am not working full time yet. Also, I have a right to my own money. I really need that CD, video, pizza... well the list goes on. All of this is to say that if I have any New Years Resolution, it would have to be- NO MORE EXCUSES. I really want this year to be a year of growth in trusting God with my finances, with spiritual growth, and living a TV free lifestyle. If you'd like to e mail me, I'd love to hear from anybody. Let's encourage another in the faith and keep each other accountable this new century.
