Children's Author Karma Wilson Writes Onthe version I had. I remember the art was actually rather "creepy" but the story was so hopeless while still maintaining a sense of hope that I read it again and again and again. The Monster at the End of this Book. Sesame Street's Grover was great in this Little Golden Book, and I distinctly remember wondering if the ending might actually change if I read the book again. It never did! Middle Grade The absolute TOPS in this area was the Chronicles of Narnia. I read the first three chapters of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in an English text book when I was about ten. My favorite books now are the Bible, The Hiding Place, and the Narnia Series (still). I read aloud with my husband every night. Right now we are reading Lord of the Rings. I didn't like the series as a kid but I'm really enjoying them now. I don't know why I didn't like them as a child! My husband convinced me they are right up my
