"The Fifty States" National Geographic This beautiful resource provides a concise and comprehensive look at our 50 states. The volume is one in a series and easy to use. Information is presented in a reader-friendly format. Color maps, photographs and archival illustrations add interest. An exceptional book. "Skyscraper" Susan E. Goodman Published by Knopf Books for Young Readers The slim-volume abounds with large color photographs that show the steps needed to build a skyscraper. The process begins with an idea and involoves many laborers and capital. The text is interesting and reader-friendly. An excellent volume that will appeal to reluctant readers. "Hark! The
