A CGI series from Nickelodeon and Nelvana, the anthropomorphic tots in The Backyardigans are slightly reminiscent of characters from The New Zoo Revue. In backyard playdates, the tots let their imaginations run wild, leading into musical adventures. Backyardigans goal is to help develop their imaginations and express themselves creatively.

The series stars quick-moving penguin Pablo; mellow moose Tyrone; thrill-seeking, purple-spotted creature Uniqua; lady-like hippo Tasha and Austin, the new kangaroo on the block.

In a style of 2D illustrative animation reminicent of Angela Anaconda, Franny always wonders "Where will my feet take me today?" Produced by Decode Entertainment for The Family Channel, Franny's grandfather runs a shoe repair shop. By stepping into a customers shoe's she can magically experience a slice of their life.
