The anime hit started as a serial in the famous CoroCoro Comic books as "Rockman Exe". The creators of Pokémon took this and turned it into an action-packed cartoon, which has aired for a while on KidsWB. In the Year 200X, the human race undergoes a Cyber Revolution and enters the network age. Everybody now owns a NetNavi alter ego that lives on the network; think "The Matrix", but one you only visit. Fifth grader Lan has a knack for battling computer viruses, and solidifies a friendship with his NetNavi, MegaMan.
Mental Block - Tuesdays at 6:30 pm ET on YTV, starts September 2
A Canadian-made sitcom, it stars Erik Knudsen, a tween with four teenagers in charge, in a command center in his head. Reminiscent of EPCOT Center's Cranium Command.
Moccasin Flats - on APTN, starts November 10
This documentary series follows a young native Canadian, preparing for life beyond Regina’s aboriginal ghetto.
My Dad the Rock Star - Mondays at 6:00 pm and Sundays at 5:30 pm EST on Teletoon, starts September 1
Willy Zilla just wants to be a normal boy. But his dad, Rock, is a seven-foot tall rocker (including platforms). The brainchild of KISS' Gene Simmons, the Zillas settle down in Silent Springs. Willy's two best pals are Alissa and Quincy, do what they can to keep Buzz, the neighbourhood bully, off Willy's back. Willy has his hands full just keeping his family in line.
