Alcohol and the Unborn

Have you ever noticed that there are some people who are much more sensitive to their environment than are others? There are people who have to have things in order, neat and tidy, or perhaps, they are happier when the sun is shining. Others may go from day to day and appear to completely ignore their surroundings. I say "appear to" because it may be that they are affected by their environment but are not as outwardly upset or calmed by circumstances. Imagine then that you are in an environment of which you have absolutely no control yet are completely dependent upon-your environment is not just the air that you breathe but your soul source of oxygen, nutrition, comfort, and safety.

This is the environment of the unborn. This being is completely dependent on the environment within the womb.

Imagine then that you are in this state and rather than being given all the essentials to develop fully you are being fed a diet of martinis, vodka and tonics, screwdrivers, beer, and wine.

The brain is being destroyed when it is beginning to be created. The body is being cheated when it should be being protected and pampered. The future life is being dramatically altered.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is a life-altering and absolutely preventable condition. Unlike most of the conditions that children can be born with which we consider birth defects, this condition is one that can easily be eradicated from this planet. All it takes is an alcohol/drug free environment for the developing child.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is recognized by distinct facial deformities, a flattened face and wide set eyes. There are degrees of mental retardation as well associated with this defect.

For more information regarding this syndrome I suggest these links:

No one wants their child born with problems. If you know of someone who has a problem with alcohol or is pregnant and simply unaware of the dangers of drinking during pregnancy this information may be what they need to clean-up the environment of their unborn child.
