Attention Parents: Aromatherapy Could Be The Answer

The stomach pains babies feel from birth to about three months of age can be soothed by therapeutic message. Massages are a great way to bond with your baby. Giving massage to your baby’s abdomen with Roman Chamomile or one drop of dill or mandarin will be relaxing to the baby and ease him/her of discomfort temporarily.

Protect your baby from coughs and colds by using a diffuser or plant spray. Tea tree oil, eucalyptus, and cajeput are some oils that treat the common cold and cough. There are treatments for other infant problems like cradle cap, insomnia, rash, and teething. Find out more about these in Denise Whichello Brown’s book, Teach Yourself Aromatherapy and Aromatherapy by Anne Selby and Peter Albright, M.D.
