Finding Affordable Treatment People are sometimes reluctant to seek help because they are concerned about the cost of treatment. Services at college counseling centers are often low-cost or free. Also city or county mental health services are often offered on a "sliding scale" (the fee is based on your financial resources). Check out any health insurance you may have and see if it pays for private mental health services.
