June

Ok so its getting to be summertime here, and the weather is starting to turn hot. I hope that everyone enjoyed last month's article, and that maybe you found something that you could use in your kitchen to add something new to your table. Since it's getting to be summer, I thought that I would talk about some items that are typically used in summertime cooking, or dishes that are summertime staples. As simple as it may sound, fresh lemonade is something that people are afraid to attempt on their own. It may seem like a huge pain, but believe me when I say that it is worth the effort. Lemonade. Fried chicken. It seems like such a simple thing, but many people cannot make it in a way which leaves them happy when they eat it. Try this recipe, and see what you think. Many people think of fried chicken when they think of picnics... I see no problem with cooking this ahead of time, chilling, and serving the next day. Fried Chicken. As good as strawberry shortcake tastes, I thought that I might take a different approach to the classic dish. Try this, a strawberry shortcake cake. Instead of the individual little cakes, this recipe makes a large shortcake stuffed with strawberries. Strawberry Shortcake. I hope that you all get to try these recipes out, and as always any suggestions or ideas will be looked upon kindly!
