Big Scare at CBS A gunman charged through the CBS gates in Los Angeles, demanding the network tell his story. "I need some help," he shouted as he stormed the mailroom. Production was cut short on several soap operas but most shows had already finished taping. The four-hour standoff ended when the man shot himself in the chest. At press time, he was listed in critical condition.

Schwimmer Slashed How can two women get into a fight at a Pet Shop Boys record-release party and start throwing glass? Only Ross from Friends could find himself in such a situation. Yet, it was David Schwimmer. David was stitched up when stray glass nailed him in the forehead. His publicist denies early reports that the woman he was with broke a glass over the head of a woman harassing him, causing the injury.

Malcolm's Not in the Middle Jane Kaczmarek and her husband The West Wing's Josh Lyman are expecting their third child. The Malcolm in the Middle star and her hubby say they're "overjoyed with the news."

Bellows Offed The death card just keeps biting Gil Bellows. First, a brain tumor claimed his character's life on Ally McBeal. Now he'll be biting a bullet on The Agency. The series will continue into its next season sans Bellows. The season finale ended with bullets flying and the outcome unclear. Sources say next season will focus more on the politics involved in the CIA instead of the action/adventure moves in the field. Bellows says his departure was a mutual decision.

Hooked Up Matthew Perry and Heather Graham have been spotted getting very romantic with each other in L.A.'s "in" locations. They've even partied at Drew Barrymore's Hollywood Hills home very recently and seem to be quite close.

Blasting Off 'N Syncer Lance Bass wants to be the first entertainer in space. He's passed all of the medical tests, even though he just underwent surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat he's had since he was a child. But a spokesperson for the Russian space program say he's not even in the running for the October space mission. The company funding Lance's training are still moving forward, though, hoping to land a documentary out of the deal.

Production Halted Witchblade star Yancy Butler checked into a rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse. The show was about mid-way through shooting its second season. But production has been halted until its star is back on her feet. The second season series premiere is still slated for June 16.
