Rebecca Gayheart
Gayheart Sentenced Rebecca Gayheart was sentenced for manslaughter after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge. She won't serve jail time, but she will be on probation for three years, her driver's license will be revoked for one year, she'll pay a $2,800 fine and serve 750 hours of community service. In addition, the judge ordered her to make a public service announcement. The sentencing comes after she struck and killed a nine-year-old boy. Several cars stopped and waved the boy across the street in Hollywood. Rebecca swerved but was unable to avoid hitting the boy. Witnesses say the boy was jaywalking. Rebecca's lawyer says she will probably spend her community service time educating schoolchildren, parents and motorists about street-crossing safety and driving awareness.

Charlotte Slams FDNY Charlotte Church, the 15-year-old singing star, doesn't have kind things to say about the firefighters of New York or even Paul McCartney. She recently told the Times of London that she's not real happy about the firefighters of New York being labeled as superstars. "They are even invited here to present television awards, which I just don't agree with," she said. She also said she wasn't too thrilled with her appearance on Good Morning America being cancelled when Flight 587 crashed on November 12. But she didn't stop there. She even had some words for Paul McCartney. "There was Paul McCartney saying, 'I witnessed the crash.' Who cares? Thousands witnessed it." Church claims her quotes were taken out of context.

So Long Regis? The show that saved ABC may be on the chopping block itself. ABC's November ratings are pitiful. The network is in fourth place to competitors FOX, NBC and CBS. Ratings show Regis's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire hasn't even been pulling in the top 20. When referring to the game show's future, execs said they were "unsure." That's a big blow to ABC who's got Millionaire on four nights a week. Without the show, there's a huge gap in programming. Execs went on to say they hope the show sticks around but they'll just have to wait and see.

Dangerfield Suffers Attack On Thanksgiving Day, the same day as his 80th birthday, Rodney Dangerfield suffered a heart attack. Doctors say the heart attack was "mild" but Rodney was rushed to Cedars Sinai and placed in intensive care. He underwent an angiogram to examine his blood vessels. This isn't the first time Rodney's had heart trouble. Back in March 2000, he had double-bypass surgery.
