Emmy Awards May Be Empty Awards The Emmy Awards show has been postponed until October 7. But that doesn't mean our favorite movie stars will be walking down the red carpet. Organizers of the event are questioning everything from the red-carpet to post-Emmy parties. In fact, HBO has already cancelled its after-show party. It may not stop there, though. Not a single one of HBO's stars have made plane reservations to attend the Emmys. HBO received 94 nominations, with 32 of those coming for The Sopranos and Sex and the City. Sarah Jessica Parker and her co-stars haven't committed to the New York to Los Angeles flight. Ellen DeGeneres is hosting this year's show but her opening monologue won't be the same now. A skit to feature Saturday Night Live members spoofing George W. Bush and former Vice President Al Gore's rivalry was also canned. You can count on a special tribute to previous Emmy winner David Angell. The producer of Frasier, Cheers and Wings was a passenger on one of the planes hijacked by terrorists. He and his wife were returning to L.A. from vacation.

Hollywood Telethon Hollywood's banding together for America: A Tribute to Heroes. The two-hour event will be live and feature a who's who of Hollywood. The purpose of the telethon is to raise money as well as the spirits of everyone affected by the events in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. At press time, the telethon is scheduled to air Friday September 21. The event will simultaneously air on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox between 9-11 p.m. Eastern time (tape delayed in Mountain and Pacific time zones). The star-studded gathering is also scheduled to air on E!, MTV, UPN, VH-1 and the WB. You'll see Bon Jovi, Amy Brenneman, Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Sheryl Crow, Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz, the Dixie Chicks, Robert De Niro, Clint Eastwood, Calista Flockhart, Dennis Franz, Kelsey Grammer, Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Conan O'Brien, Tom Petty, Ray Romano, Julia Roberts, Paul Simon, Will Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Sela Ward, Robin Williams, Stevie Wonder, Neil Young and many more. All money raised will be used for relief efforts.

Chan: "I Would Probably Have Died" Jackie Chan says he was supposed to be at the World Trade Center the day of the terrorist attacks. He was scheduled to shoot scenes for his new film Nosebleed. The shoot was cancelled at the last minute because the script was late. "I would probably have died if the shooting had gone ahead as planned," he said. He was supposed to be on top of one of the World Trade Center towers. In his new movie, he portrays a window washer who finds out about a terrorist plan to blow up the Statue of Liberty. With several shows being pulled off the air because they contain terrorist attacks, undercover cops and CIA agents, the state of Jackie's movie is also in question.
