MTV's Daly Sues Motorola Think those celebrities are suckered into advertising deals? Not Carson Daly. He was so mad when Motorola cancelled his ad deal, he sued. The company announced its plans to cut the deal with Carson that would have landed him $1 million to promote the company's cell phones, pagers and other communications products. The lawsuit alleges Motorola breached an agreement made back in January because of the company's financial situation and the resulting cuts in the advertising budget. The deal actually fell apart by July and Carson claims he lost more than $1 million because he passed on many other opportunities with rival companies. Motorola says the deal was never official.
