Aaliyah Killed in Plane Crash
Singer/Actress Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash in the Bahamas. She, along with eight other people, boarded a small Cessna passenger after filming a new music video. Seven passengers on the plane were killed when the plane went down and burst into flames. One passenger was found alive but later died at a Miami hospital. Investigators say engine failure is to blame but other sources say the plane may have been overloaded with all sorts of equipment and passengers, including Aaliyah's video crew and their production equipment. New York's Daily News says Blackhawk International Airways, owner of the Cessna in question, has been cited nine times in four years for safety violations. A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration says that report is inaccurate. The pilot, who was also killed, wasn't authorized to fly the plane according to the Miami Herald. Luis Morales III, plead no contest to cocaine possession and three other felonies just 12 days before the fatal accident. Under FAA rules, Morales had 60 days to notify the organization and could've faced his pilot's license being revoked. Aaliyah, set to star in a slew of upcoming movies, was remembered at the taping of Soul Train's Lady of Soul Awards.

The cast has already started taping their eighth season. And Jen's series ending declaration read, "It's heartbreaking. If I think about it, it chokes me up to realize that this will be over. It's been a pretty intense eight years for this group of people, experiencing a lot together. It's a major crossroads we're at together in our lives. So it's very, very sad." Spoiler Alert! If you don't want to know who the pregnant friend is, then you better stop reading. Last season's final episode became a mystery about who was really pregnant on the show. While Jennifer denies being pregnant in real life, TV Guide writes that Rachel is the soon-to-be mommy. If the Friends cast decides to walk, they'll be saying adios to their $750,000 per episode, per person salaries. The season premiere airs September 20. Cruise Wins...Sort Of It's been a good few weeks for Tom Cruise. He was granted a divorce from Nicole Kidman. He made his relationship with actress Penélope Cruz public. And now he doesn't have to prove in court that he didn't have a homosexual affair while married to Nicole. Gay porn star Chad Slater, AKA Kyle Bradford, claimed he had an affair with Tom and that Nic had walked in on the two of them. So Tom filed a $100 million lawsuit against the man. Now, Slater says he's filed court papers defaulting on the pending suit, basically saying he admits defeat. He also says if Tom's lawyers pursue the matter, he'll file bankruptcy in order to avoid their financial wrath. Tom adamantly denies rumors that he's gay. He filed the lawsuit in fear of a career backlash and also to deter false allegations from being made in the future as well. Go To Page: 1 2
