Scoop for the Week of July 13th

Justin Timberlake
Big Brother Boots Houseguest Booze. Sex. Violence. It's all in the Big Brother 2 house. Wait. Violence? That's right. One of the housemates has been kicked off the show for holding a knife to his roomie's throat. Justin, the 26-year-old New Jersey bartender has been ousted after he put a knife to Krista's throat. The two drank together, talked and even kissed when Justin reached into the kitchen drawer and pulled out a big knife. He put the knife against her throat and said, "Wait hang on, I'm gonna slash your throat. Would you get mad if I killed you?" Krista didn't take his threats too seriously and replied, "No. But I want some water." But producers didn't take the incident lightly. They ordered Justin to the Diary Room and after a three-hour session with the show's psychologist, they removed him from the house. In a statement released by CBS, execs said, "The decision was made after producers witnessed Justin exhibit what they believed to be threatening behavior. This is the second such incident involving Justin. He was warned after the first, which was far less serious in nature. To ensure the safety of all houseguests, intimidation, violence and even the threat of violence will not be tolerated." The first incident CBS is referring to is a heated argument that erupted after Kent claimed Justin stole his pillow. Several of Justin's housemates threatened to leave the show if he stayed.

Backstreet's Taking A Backroad Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean says he's suffering from alcoholism and depression. So he's checked into rehab. That leaves the rest of the group without their fifth member in the middle of a summer concert tour. Kevin Richardson, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter and Brian Littrell appeared on MTV's Total Request Live as well as NBC's Today to announce the postponement of their tour. A.J. will remain in an undisclosed residential rehab center for 30 days. But is that enough time? Howie told MTV's Carson Daly, "A.J.'s health is most important to us. We're all only human beings, and we love him as a brother. To us, if after 30 days he needs more time than that, then we're going to give him the time. I guess at that point we'll reevaluate the situation, because there's not 500 days in the year, and we're trying to finish off this tour and get over to Southeast Asia as well. But there's been no decision yet on what we're doing. We're just keeping our fingers crossed and counting on A.J. getting back."
