Paula Pleads Innocent Comedian Paula Poundstone pleaded innocent to charges of sexually molesting a young girl and endangering four other minors. She has been ordered to stay away from the alleged victims and all unsupervised children. She's facing three counts of lewd acts on a child and one count of child endangerment. Paula has three adopted children and was caring for a number of foster children when the allegations were made leading to her arrest. If convicted, she faces 13 years in prison. "You don't need protective orders against Paula," her lawyer said. "She's been a wonderful advocate for children's rights. I can't tell you how upset she is. She loves children. In many ways, she is a big kid. She loves to laugh and have fun and for her to be told that she has got to stay away from kids is very painful for her."

Shadow Dancing Julia Roberts and Benjamin Bratt have put an end to their three and a half years together. Rumor has it, Benjamin actually called off their relationship because he was tired of being the shadow in Julia's spotlight. The Post claims Julia fell for leading man George Clooney as they shot the Ocean's Eleven remake. George quickly put out that fire with his own statement. "I didn't have time. I was too busy breaking up Tom and Nicole's marriage." Right after Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman announced their marriage was over back in December, heavy buzz circled George, stating he was the reason their nuptials crumbled. Benjamin is currently in Montreal, shooting Abandon with Katie Holmes. Ironically, Julia's new movie America's Sweethearts is about a press agent dealing with the breakup of two stars before the release of their new movie.

Splitsville After weeks of strip-club rumors and new romance reports, Tara Reid and Carson Daly have confirmed they are no longer together. Initially, their marriage plans were postponed because Tara wanted to make a movie before the threatened actors strike went into motion. Now, those wedding plans have been completely cancelled. "When something's not right, it's not right," Tara said. "I did everything I could to make the relationship work, and it didn't." Carson proposed to her last October after the two met shooting MTV's Spring Break special. A couple of weeks ago, he flew out to Los Angeles to "work things out" with Tara. Reports stated that he hadn't been faithful to the relationship and he was on his way to patch up what was left. "When trust is broken, the relationship is over," Tara remarked, but wouldn't comment on the extent of Carson's stepping out.
