Nicole's Filing Legal Papers Too The Cruise family has certainly been a friend of the legal system lately. Tom filed for divorce, followed by his lawsuit against a porn star's allegations of a homosexual love affair (see above). Nicole responded to Tom's divorce papers with a statement saying she tried to get her husband to attend marriage counseling instead of dissolving their marriage. She also states that the two were together after 10 years of marriage. Tom says they split right before their anniversary. The contested date is highly important considering Tom would be forced to pay alimony until Nicole remarries if he left after the 10-year date. In the latest legal news, Nicole filed legal papers for a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker. Matthew E. Hooker, 40, tried to reach Nicole through her management company. When they didn't respond, he posted an "urgent and important message for Nicole" on his Web site. He says he'd be the perfect mate for her now that she and hubby Tom have split. In addition, he showed up at Nicole's gated Los Angeles home because he wanted to take her out to the ballet. Nicole's security guards called the police and they advised she seek a restraining order. They also deemed the fan "mentally unstable."
Jessica To Wed Co-Star L'Oreal recently told Dark Angel's Jessica Alba that she's worth it by signing her as one of their many celebrity spokeswomen. Now her TV co-star, Michael Weatherly, says she's worth it as well. The two are engaged to be married in real life. This will be the first marriage for Jessica, 20, who plays the lead character, Max, on Fox's futuristic series. Michael, 32, portrays Logan on the series. He was previously married to actress Amelia Heinle and has a son with her. He's also been romantically linked to model Rachel Hunter in the past. Jessica and Michael only recently revealed their off-screen dating relationship. No wedding date has been set.
